This sucks!

Thanks for all your comments - sorry i have been a bad blogger friend. For some reason I have not been able to bring myself to blog or write anything. This week has been hectic. It has been a roller coaster of events - The Embryo transfer, my sisters wedding was postponed and is now on back on again (major stress), worked lots at my new job (a welcome distraction), cramping and spotting (the whole is it or is it not implantion or is it AF?). I consulted Dr Google way to many times!!! Oh and lets not forget mothers day...

Anyway AF arrived yesterday - I am devastated.

Went for blood test today - it was an expected BFFN (Excuse my language, you can guess what the extra F is for)

I felt so hopeful, I truly believed it would work. Everything seemed perfect. What went wrong?

What's next for me? I see the Doctor on Thursday. My plan is do an FET as soon as possible. The nurse says I have to have a month off for my ovaries to recover. I am so grateful for my 6 frozen embabies. I want 2 put back next time...

I hope you have all doing well. I won't be posting for awhile but will still be reading along...

PUPO

1 grade AA blast on board

6 blast frosties

Pregnant Until Proven Otherwise!

The transfer went very well! The best one yet - i felt very relaxed. much less anxious than the others. almost no pain. very quick. I got there 30 minutes before, took a valium and then got to lie down in the procedure room for a awhile. It was much more relaxing than hanging out in the waiting room until last minute like last time.

Today is a public holiday so i couldn't have my regular Doctor. One of the other Fertility Specialists in the clinic was on call and did the transfer. I was nervous about having someone else but he was so lovely. I think I might like him better. If things don't work out with the current one it's nice to have a backup.

My clinic doesn't say to have complete bed rest after transfer - just to rest and take things easy. I have been trying to lie down as much as possible but have been up and about to make food and move between the bed and the couch. When I got home I had a long sleep, then watched Bones on my DVR, and not much else.

I feel very positive about this one!

5 post pickup - the day before ET

I got the call from the clinic this afternoon - 6 blasts looking very good. 5 the embryologist says are still growing but not yet blast and 5 stopped growing. I know that doesn't add upto 17, i'm not sure what's up with the others? I was at the beach when she called so I wasn't able to write it down. I'll get all the details tomorrow.

I'm so happy about 6 good blasts (incl.2 x grade AA) but not so happy that I couldn't have a transfer TODAY! I'm really annoyed right now about having to wait until day 6. I just have to pray and believe my little embies will be just as good tomorrow. The embryologist said they would pick a blast that had started hatching. They did this last time aswell.

Anyway sorry this post doesn't make for very interesting reading. I promise i'll post some pictures or something soon. I think we bought a house today - so i'll post about that sometime :-)

Thanks for thoughts and prayers!

embie update

All 17 embies going strong. They are at Morula stage. A blast tranfer is scheduled for Monday 9am. This will be a 6 day transfer. I've never heard of 6 days before this, but i gotta trust the clinic right?

So happy my embies are doing well!!!

Praying that they do well overnight. Some will get frozen tomorrow.

Sorry this is so brief. I have bloggers block :-) I'm off to go house hunting now!
